Election campaigns to be allowed after promulgation of election laws

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) will revoke its ban on political activities after the enforcement of the last two organic election bills.

Deputy Premier and Defense Minister, Gen Prawit Wongsuwan says the NCPO’s ban on political movements will be lifted once the organic bills to do with the election of MPs and the selection of Senators come into effect, meaning election campaigns and party meetings will be allowed 90 days after the two laws have been announced in the Royal Gazette.
